Key to her heart is prize car

A RIVERSIDE woman is over the moon after her boyfriend gave her the car he won in a competition last Saturday (August 15).

Rebekah Harris was left in shock after her partner, Daniel Clarke, scooped a silver Peugeot 206 Quicksilver as part of a competition run by Lakeside Car Sales Ltd.

The garage, based on Beoley Road East, gave away five vehicles over the weekend – three of which went to Redditch residents.

“I just couldn’t stop crying,” Rebekah said.

“I’ve wanted a car for ages but decided I couldn’t really afford the finance so this surprise was lovely.

“You just never know your luck.”

The model was even the very same one as the vehicle Rebekah had set her heart on when she had originally enquired about purchasing a car.

She added: “It’s like it’s meant to be – I love it.”

The 41-year-old, who hasn’t had her own car since March, has been enjoying her newfound independence by driving to Tewkesbury and taking her grandchildren to the park.

She also plans to use the Peugeot to get to and from her job at St Bede’s Catholic Middle School.

The staff at Lakeside said: “A good day was had by all and our star attraction was Adam who presented the cars.

“We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came down and supported the event and congratulations to all the winners.”
