CHILDREN at a Redditch school are set to learn all about where food comes from thanks to staff at Tesco.
A team from the store in Oakenshaw helped dig a vegetable garden on the site of Woodfield Academy which will be used to run a lunch-time club for pupils.
As well as being able to plant their own range of items from across the world, the students are set to take a trip to Tesco to learn more about different foods.
Dale Maxwell, senior customer service advisor, said: “We wanted to do something different within the local community so we asked Woodfield if there was anything we could do to help.
“In the school they had a wasted bit of land so we worked hard to transform it into a vegetable garden.”
