Looking for a purr-fect new home

Redditch Editorial 6th Jul, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

REDDITCH Cat Rescue are appealing to cat-lovers to rehome one of their many newcomers after an influx of kittens has left the charity inundated with 20 furry faces looking for a loving home.

It is the black kittens which are proving particularly difficult to find a ‘forever home’ for as there are so many superstitions about black cats.

Gayle Mevlin, volunteer at the centre, said: “It’s the whole ‘they bring bad luck’ thing.

“Yet out of my own cats the black ones are definitely the most loving and loyal.”

The Webheath centre, which is one of Mayor of Redditch Patti Hill’s chosen charities, operates from the home of Mel Booth, who owns the charity.

Anyone looking to rehome a cat or kitten or anyone able to make a donation of cat food or anything else they can spare to the centre, can contact Mel on 07505 743963.
