STUDENTS at Studley High School will receive a new welcome as part of a £500,000 grant.
The Crooks Lane school received the money from the Department of Education to refurbish its reception area, toilets, windows as well as a new performing arts block over the past few years.
The main corridor has also been widened, while a new medical room has also been created.
Headteacher Elaine Young said the school has ensured pupils now have state of the art facilities and follow the motto of Always Aiming Higher.
She said: “I’m very proud of how the school has changed over the last eight years. The pupils are being educated in modern classrooms in a school that values traditional education.”
