A TOWN supermarket has donated cash in exchange for kits at Redditch Rugby Club.
Staff from Sainsbury’s handed over £300 to pay for new uniforms for the Bromsgrove Road club’s under-9s team.
The funds came from the Sainsbury’s Community Budget scheme which helps charitable groups in the local community through the sale of Bags for Life.
Store Manager Tim Smedley, said: “Our store is at the heart of the local community and it is important we do as much as we can to support it. When we heard about Redditch Rugby Football Club’s Junior Section needing support, we were really pleased to be able to help out.”
