Lots to choose from in memory of Lucie

TICKETS to the cricket, a signed book by Ant and Dec, and a bottle of wine from the Prime Minister are all up for grabs at a fund-raising night in memory of a Winyates girl.

The special auction will be held at the Bridley Moor and Batchley Social Club on Saturday, February 14, in honour of Lucie Southall who passed away from leukaemia at just 12-years-old.

The night has been organised by her parents Michelle and Wayne, as well as other family members and friends.

It follows the success of an auction last year which raised more than £5,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where Lucie was cared for.

Coun Rebecca Blake will start proceedings at 7.30pm while there will also be a buffet and disco on offer.

Auction items include a signed Aston Villa football shirt, a signed Birmingham City shirt, a signed West Bromwich pennant and a snooker cue autographed by former world champions.

Tickets for a night of Greyhound racing in Hall Green, t20 tickets, and a signed bottle of wine by David Cameron, courtesy of Redditch MP Karen Lumley, are also among the numerous lots going under the hammer.

Tickets cost £10 and all the money will go to Cure Leukaemia Birmingham which helps patients access new and potentially lifesaving treatment.
