A MAGICAL production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe will take to the Palace Theatre stage next month.
Astwood Bank Operatic Society will be performing the tale from March 11 to 14 (Wednesday to Saturday).
The story follows beautiful fairy Iolanthe who was banished for 25 years for marrying a mortal.
She returns from her watery prison still looking only 17-years-old. But her youth and beauty cause trouble when her half mortal son Strephon cannot convince his fiancée Phyllis, the girl she discovers him with is in fact his mother.
Tickets cost £12 on Wednesday evening and Saturday matinée or £14 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.
