Police arrest two more men following assault at Redditch pizza restaurant

POLICE have arrested two more men in relation to public disorder in Redditch.

The two men, aged 21 and 37, from Redditch have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in relation to the incident which took place on Jinnah Road on Friday afternoon (October 23) at approximately 2.30pm.  Both men have been released on bail until 11th January.

Four other men were arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm in relation to the same incident on Saturday (October 24).  The men, aged 23, 39, 43 and 48, have all been released on bail until January 10, 2016.

Police are linking this to an incident at a pizza restaurant on Beoley Road West on Friday evening (October 24).




Two men suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident which is thought to have taken place at approximately 10.30pm on Friday. A third man also suffered significant injuries during the assault and remains in hospital.

A 35-year-old man from Redditch was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault following this incident on Monday morning (October 26) and was bailed until January 12, 2016.


The investigation into both incidents is ongoing and police continue to appeal for information.
