A MAN has been arrested after police were called to a report of someone breaking into a house.

Neighbours in Lea Croft Road raised the alarm at about 8.20pm and officers arrived to find that two people who had been in the property had received minor injuries while jumping from a first floor window. One of them, a woman, was taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch but not detained.

A wooden baton was seized by officers during the incident and a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. He is currently being questioned by detectives at Kidderminster Police Station.

Anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police should call Detective Constable Emma Breay at Redditch CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the incident reference 691-S-280414.
