Man attacked by gang at bus stop in Redditch town centre

A MAN was attacked by a gang of men in a bus shelter near Redditch town centre.

The 23-year-old victim was approached by three men on Ipsley Street, opposite the Warwick Arms, about 12.05am on Sunday (July 19).

They assaulted him before running off, leaving him distressed and with minor facial injuries.

The men are described as Asian and in their early 20s.




West Mercia Police believe there were witnesses to the incident, including a man who was stood outside the Warwick Arms at the time and a couple also walked past shortly afterwards.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 0022S of Saturday July 19.
