WITH RUGBY fever sweeping the nation, students in Matchborough went scrum-crazy on Wednesday (September 30) to celebrate the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
During the sessions pupils at Matchborough First School Academy rubbed cauliflower ears with coaches from Worcester Warriors and Redditch Rugby Club and particularly enjoyed learning to do the New Zealand Hakka the Matchborough way.
Youngsters in years one to four were put through their paces in the art of rugby during the sessions whilst the younger children in the school’s reception class enjoyed a calmer game of mini rugby and rugby-related activities in the classroom.
