THERE were Memories and Muffins at a Redditch day centre last week to mark Dementia Awareness Week.
Valuing Individual People (VIP), based at The Barn, The Craft Centre, Winyates held the event last Friday in partnership with Age UK’s dementia advisor, Carolyn Pym.
The recently opened centre is designed to support people to live well with all types of dementia, sensory impairments and disabilities.
As one in three people will develop dementia, VIP aims to support service users in enjoying and expressing the same feelings as everyone else.
The VIP Centre is currently creating a sensory garden and requests that anyone with spare plants donate them to the cause.
