THERE was fun for all at a recent ‘memories and muffins’ day at Winyates Craft Centre which raised over £350 for people with dementia.
The event was organised by Valuing Individual People, a company which cares for 26 people at the centre with the aim of helping them live well with the condition.
The unit is managed by Natalie Allcott, who is just one of three people on the shortlist of the international dementia awards in recognition of her work in Winyates.
“We are growing all the time and every week we have numerous enquiries from people wanting to become members,” said Natalie.
Although a private enterprise funding is available through the Worcestershire County Council to pay for people to attend the centre.
