FOLLOWING the hugely successful Jobs Fair held by Karen Lumley, MP for Redditch in the Kingfisher Centre on May 13, a survey of exhibitors has now confirmed their delight at the outcomes.
The survey was sent to all 27 companies and organisations who took part in the Fair, and the responses will be used to help plan next year’s event to ensure jobseekers and exhibitors alike gain the very best experience.
All exhibitors who responded to the survey said they had spoken to more than 20 individuals at their stands who could potentially have taken a job. Most have followed up these leads and nearly all said they expected to appoint new employees as a direct result of the Fair. All respondents said it had been worthwhile taking a stand, and that they would seriously consider taking out a stand next year.
Mrs Lumley said: “The number of positive comments received highlighted the many benefits of the Jobs Fair seen by the vast majority, who said it was an excellent day, not only for recruitment but for companies to get out and actually meet people.
“I look forward to next year’s event and hope we will be able to host even more stands, since this year there was a waiting list of ten employers who would have liked to have participated, but due to space could not be accommodated.”
