THE stage is all set for Karen Lumley MP’s most successful Jobs Fair event to date – with 27 businesses, training organisations and uniformed groups on hand this Friday (May 13, 2016) to offer advice on a career with them.
And your Redditch Standard will be there amongst them.
And there are ten organisations who wanted to take part, but who couldn’t because of limited space available.
The event has been advertised throughout the town on posters and flyers, while those who have been into the Kingfisher Centre recently will have seen the advertisement on the large LCD screen in Worcester Square.
The Jobs Fair has also been widely promoted with the local press, and jobseekers at the Jobcentre Plus have been advised to pay a visit.
The Jobs Fair is in Worcester Square in the Kingfisher Centre, on Friday, (May 13) from 10am to 2pm.
A full list of those taking part can be found at but include Jobcentre Plus Redditch, Army Reserves, Army Careers Worcester, Royal Navy, West Mercia Police, Diamond Buses, London Midland Railway, McDonald’s and KFC in Redditch and the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Also taking part will be the Abbey Hotel & Golf Club, the Redditch Standard, Oakland International, Marubeni-Komatsua and Faun Zoeller.
Karen said: “As MP for Redditch I see it as one of my key responsibilities to help local people secure employment, as well as to help businesses and organisations secure the staff they need.
“I am expecting several hundred visitors to the Jobs Fair and am looking forward to meeting many of them – it’s going to be a busy day, but hopefully a very productive one.”
