REDDITCH MP Karen Lumley went wild for the day as she got up close and personal with a range of exotic and furry animals.
Mrs Lumley joined children at Bright Kids nursery in Crabbs Cross last Friday (May 9) for the Go Wild Day which saw the Animals in Hand group bring in a range of creatures. She even joined in the spirit of the occasion by posing near to a snake, despite being terrified of them.
“I know the team at the nursery are always looking for innovative ways to educate and stimulate the young people in their care. This was just one of many excellent initiatives.” she said.
“I hadn’t realised snakes were involved – I felt much safer with the owl.”
It was part of a week of activities at the Evesham Road nursery which included making mud pies, building dens and playing outdoors. The events were put on by staff in the run up to National Children’s Day last Sunday (May 11).
