Mum would walk a hundred miles

Redditch Editorial 26th Feb, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

A REDDITCH mom is set to walk 100 miles for the charity which supports her son.

Sarah Taylor’s boys Sam and Oliver, aged 15 and 12 respectively, both receive help from the South Warwickshire Dyslexia Association.

The Studley High School pair have been attending the Stratford-upon-Avon charity for weekly classes on top of the support they receive at school for about two years.

Now Sarah, from Church Hill, is set to embark on the walk from London to Brighton on May 23 in a bid to raise money for the small organisation.

She said: “I wanted to do something which was a physical challenge but something a bit different I could incorporate into family life. Walking is something the boys can come along and do with me while I’m training.

“I am excited and also a bit nervous but am looking forward to it. When I set my mind to something I am determined to do it so I’m not worried about not completing it.”
