STUNNING music all the way from Mexico comes to Redditch this Saturday evening (July 30) in the shape of Duo Dulcemelos.

Playing the hammer dulcimer – the Salterio – the result is beautiful bell-like music so typical of the country.

Dulcemelos are Alejandro Barrientos and Hector Larios, stars with a worldwide following and they’ve been brought to town by Redditch’s very own dulcimer champion Sally Whytehead, who organised the World Dulcimer Congress here and in Malvern last year.

Sally has also arranged some workshops on the afternoon of the concert so people can discover more about the instrument.

The concert and workshops are at St Andrews Church, Upperfield Close, Church Hill, B98 9AA.

The workshops run from 2pm, entry £10, with the concert at 7pm start, again, tickets are £10.
