New art on show in Inkberrow

Redditch Editorial 8th Nov, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

LOCAL artist John Harris will be showing a fresh collection of paintings in his home village of Inkberrow.

John travels widely in search of subject matter and has strong connections with South Africa and Kenya, where the rich landscapes inspire paintings on a grand scale.

Trained in painting and ceramics at Cardiff College of Art, John’s career in art education saw him working in South Wales, in Malawi and latterly at Arrow Vale in Redditch, becoming a full-time professional artist in 1986.

This, John’s 32nd Annual Inkberrow Exhibition, gives an opportunity for art lovers to see the scope of his work with the added bonus of local interest with village views, wildlife and familiar landscapes.

The exhibition is at the Sports Pavilion, Sands Road. Inkberrow. WR7 4HJ. Open 10am – 5pm daily from Saturday to Friday, November 21-27.

Admission is free.
