STAFF and pupils alike were jumping for joy when they heard Ofsted inspectors continue to rate Webheath First School Academy as ‘Good’ following an inspection.
The celebrations come after inspectors visited the Downsell Road site on March 22 and wrote to headteacher, Chris Millward, on April 14 to relay the good news.
In a letter to Mrs Millward, the inspector wrote: “It is to your credit that you have done so while steering the school through some significant changes.”
The school is currently undergoing a £1.8million building project to create five purpose-built classrooms for Nursery, Reception and Year One pupils, a school kitchen, staffroom, extension to the hall, music/drama studio and group rooms plus other facilities.
Mrs Millward said: “We would like to thank and congratulate the staff, children and governors for their hard work and commitment to our wonderful school and we are very proud of everyone in the Webheath team and family.”
