On their bike for the Primrose Hospice

VOLUNTEERS at a borough charity shop are hoping to turn pedal power into pounds.

The Primrose Hospice shop on the Evesham Road in Headless Cross is hosting a Bikeathon on Saturday, June 7. Volunteers and even senior managers within the hospice, including chief executive Helen Garfield, are challenging themselves to pedal an exercise bike set-up in the shop’s window for eight hours non-stop.

Arrow Vale High School pupil Rosie Cox will also be joining in the fund-raising effort.

It is hoped the event will raise hundreds of pounds to fund the Bromsgrove based hospice’s vital work supporting cancer patients and their families.

Sponsorship money can be pledged at the shop or by calling 01527 401416. Donations of furniture and clothing are also needed.
