STAFF at Sainsbury’s bid a fond farewell with a slap-up party for long-serving staff member Angelina Harrison on her retirement.
Angelina had worked for 26 years on the tills at the bustling Redditch supermarket with always a kind word for work colleagues and customers.
“She took me under her wing when I first arrived,” said staff member Sheila Hooper. “She’s one in a million and had a fantastic way with the customers.”
Store manager Tim Smedley agreed.
He said: “Everyone loves her. She’s seen so many changes over the years and she’s part of the family – we will really miss her.”
Angelina herself is looking forward to doing more travelling with her husband Roy but the Headless Cross resident said she would really miss everyone at Sainsbury’s.
“I’ve loved it 100 per cent, meeting the customers who become regulars, all my colleagues, everything about the place.”
