AFTER what has been a year in which the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch has rarely been far from the headlines, members of the public are invited to join the board of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust at its annual general meeting on Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
As well as an opportunity for people to put questions to the board, the event will include a panel discussion improving urgent and emergency care and a presentation from a stroke consultant.
The trust will also use the event to launch its annual review of the year brochure – looking back at staff achievements and patient experience over the last financial year.
In 2014/15 the Trust has cared for 133,842 inpatients, 149,058 A&E attendees and seen 520,868 patients at outpatient appointments. Maternity teams have seen a busy year with 5,741 babies born at the Alexandra and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals.
The AGM will is at 5pm for a 5.30pm start at the Charles Hastings Education Centre on the Worcestershire Royal Hospital site.
