THE TOWN is getting in the spirit for the Queen’s birthday with a call for anyone with old photos from Her Majesty’s 1983 visit to the town.
Organisers of the main event at the bandstand in Church Green on Saturday, June 11, are calling on residents to send in their pictures or to the stalls on site where they can scan them in as part of a nod to the historical event.
The entertainment kicks off at midday when there will be Glamophones and swing music from the 40s to the present day. Singer Sophie Thompson will also be performing along with local choirs.
There will be plenty of activities for children to enjoy and picnic treat have been donated by Redditch businesses.
