AN appeal has gone out to anyone with photographs from the First World War, in particular pictures of soldiers who fought in the conflict or of the families they left behind.
The plea has gone out from local historian Philip Jarvis who is organising an exhibition is to take place later this year to mark the end of the Battle of the Somme.
It will take place at St Philip’s Church, Webheath from November 12 – 18, the final week of the offensive.
The exhibition will include details of those Redditch soldiers who gave their lives during the battle and those who survived and came home to their families.
If anyone can help they can contact Philip on 01527 544068 or 07866 654372 or email [email protected].
