Police appeal after three injured in assault at Redditch pizza restaurant

POLICE are appealing for information after a serious assault in a pizza restaurant in Beoley Road West in Redditch.

Two men were injured in the attack which is thought to have taken place at about 10.30pm on Friday (October 23). A third man also suffered significant injuries during the assault and remains in hospital.

Police are linking this incident to a report of public disorder on Jinnah Road at approximately 2.30pm the Friday afternoon.

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm in relation to the public disorder on Jinnah Road. The men, aged 23, 39, 43 and 48, have all been released on bail until January 10, 2016.




Detective Chief Inspector Paul Judge, who is leading on the investigation, said: “We are working to understand the exact circumstances of these incidents and ask that anyone who has any information comes forward to police.

“The assault in Beoley Road West is currently being treated as a targeted assault and there is no evidence to suggest any threat is posed to the wider community.”
