Police appeal for witnesses following Smallwood robbery

A MAN was knocked to the ground and assaulted during a robbery in Smallwood last weekend.

The victim was walking along Ipsley Street between 10pm on July 25 and 1am on July 26, when he became aware of a large car pulling up on his left-hand side.

One of the occupants opened the offside rear door and knocked the victim to the ground before stealing his bag, which contained a Samsung Galaxy Fame mobile phone and £60 in cash.

The suspect is described as black, in his 30s, with a shaved head and of a large build.




He is believed to have been wearing a leather jacket.

The vehicle was a black, powerful sounding 4×4 with large wheels.


Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 56 of July 26.
