POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man sadly died in a serious crash between a lorry and a car in Winyates yesterday morning (April 25).
The accident happened just before 7.55am when a black Nissan Qashqai, travelling along Alders Drive in the direction of Winyates Green, was involved in a collision with a white Mercedes lorry travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Nissan, a man in his 40s was sadly confirmed dead at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.
The lorry driver was not injured but the road remained closed for several hours whilst emergency services worked at the scene .
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision.
