POLICE are looking to solve the mystery which left a wheelchair user alone in the woods in Redditch.
Officers received a call from an upset woman on Tuesday (March 19) who said she was on her own in Southcrest Wood, just off of Ashperton Close, between 4.30pm and 5.30pm. She said she had winded up their after she had taken a taxi journey, in a silver people carrier, from outside the Vue cinema on Friar Street in Worcester.
The woman in her 30s was found safe and well but was checked over by medics as a precaution.
Investigating officer Det Con Cheryl Jones said: “We are working to establish the circumstances leading up to this incident and any information that the public may be able to provide could be pivotal to our investigation.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Southcrest Wood or Ashperton Close on Tuesday afternoon.”
Police are keen to establish how she came to be in the woods and are urging anyone with information to call them on the non emergency 101 number.
