POLICE are renewing their appeal for witnesses after a man was seen indecently exposing himself and committing a sexual act on a footpath near Lineholt Close, in Oakenshaw.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking her dog along the path, that leads to Woodrow Drive, on October 10 when a man exposed himself to her and committed a lewd act.

The incident happened between 5pm and 5.30pm on the footpath, which is near to fields at the rear of Lineholt Close.

The offender, a white man of medium build between 5ft 4in and 5ft 7ins tall, is thought to be in his 20s with light coloured shaved hair and was wearing a royal blue hooded top with white writing on the chest and light coloured jeans.

It is thought that other dog-walkers were in the area at the time and that they may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone with any information or who recognises the description should call police on 101, quoting incident reference number 569s of October 10.
