Police seek witnesses to street robbery

WEST Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Redditch.

The victim, a 54-year-old man, was walking along Ludlow Road at 5.45am, when he was approached by three men, according to police.

The men then assaulted him, knocking him to the floor before stealing his mobile phone and some cash.

One of the men was described as white, in his 20s, around five foot nine, possibly with a shaved head and wearing a white T-shirt.




Two men have been charged in connection with the robbery.

Kieron Scriven, 31, of Sheepcroft Close and Geron Pinfold, 23, of Dolben Lane, both in Redditch, have been charged with robbery.


Scriven has been remanded in custody with Pinfield was bailed, both until October 12 when they will appear at Worcester Crown Court. Police are calling for witnesses of the robbery, or anyone who may have seen a man of this description or any further information, to come forward.
