Police urge Redditch residents to remain vigilant as UK threat level remains severe

LOCAL police are urging residents across the town to remain vigilant in the wake of the tragic events that took place in Paris last week as the UK threat level from international terrorism remains at severe.

The warning means that an attack here in the UK is highly likely yet there is no specific intelligence that would suggest particular venues or events are more at risk than others.

During these testing times, police remind residents that it is crucial that communities and business remain highly vigilant to anything untoward or suspicious.

Officers depend hugely on information from residents and the public should be encouraged to report any activity considered to be suspicious.

Anyone who wishes to make a report can do so directly to police on 101/999 or via the confidential Anti-Terrorist Hotline 0800 789 321.
