THE post office at Matchborough is to undergo a refurbishment to become a newly modernised main branch.
Launching at 1pm on May 15 the service will see opening hours extended by 65 hours a week to ensure the branch offers a wider choice of visiting times.
Alan Ridoutt, area manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.”
The Post Office, in the Matchborough Centre, will open from 9am to 5.30pm on Monday to Saturday.
Select services will be available during the shop opening hours from 6am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 7am to 10pm on Sunday.
The branch will need to close at 5.30pm on May 11 for the refurbishment to take place.
