THE entry road to Redditch Sailing Club on Proctors Barn Lane will be temporarily closed for ten days in June for resurfacing works.

The works will run from Monday, June 6 to Friday, June 17 and include resurfacing of the road, drainage and accessibility improvements and the installation of several parking bays.

The road will be closed for the majority of the works although restricted access may be available to the sailing club. During this time, members of the club and visitors to Arrow Valley Countryside Park are advised to use the entrance off Battens Drive.

Guy Revans, Head of Environmental Services, said: “We are aware that this is a popular area for visitors, cyclists and dog walkers alike but would advise everyone to find alternative routes during this time as some of the work is potentially dangerous for residents. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused and aim to get the work completed as quickly and efficiently as possible to improve the area for everyone.”
