A prominent Redditch park car park and cycle route will be closed for one day each in September for essential maintenance works.
The car park off Battens Drive, which serves visitors to Arrow Valley Park, will be closed on Tuesday 20th September from 7.30am until 4pm for work including sweeping of the car park, filling potholes and relining parking bays.
Residents and other users of the car park are advised to remove their vehicles the night before to reduce the likelihood of access issues in the morning.
On September 21 the works will move from the car park to a section of cycle route 5, to fill in pot holes and complete repair works which will take a day to complete.
Cllr Pat Witherspoon, whose portfolio covers leisure services, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the closure of the car park and the cycle route. The completion of this essential maintenance will benefit the users of the park in the long term and will make the area easier to navigate, use and enjoy.”
