YOUNGSTERS from Woodrush High School raised money for their own defibrillator to help the community.

Pupils organised an intergenerational jazz night and invited residents from the surrounding area to join in, bringing in more than £1,000. The rest of the money came from donations and writing to local businesses.

At the moment the defib is situated in the school but it will go on the front of the new hub being built at the school, meaning it will be accessible to the public.
