A GROUP of children at Alvechurch Middle School have staged a record-breaking fund-raising fête for charity.
The Year 7 pupils held the event as part of their PSHE work and the £758 raised was the most ever collected by the school.
With it being a World Cup year, there was a bit of a sporting theme to a number of the stalls as children were urged to ‘Beat the Keeper’ and ‘Beat the Teacher – at Keepy-uppies’. There was also a very popular
pocket money stall and the ice cream stand did a roaring trade.
The money raised will go to the charity YoungMinds, the country’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.
