Ready to take on her new role

Redditch Editorial 11th Dec, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

A NEW face has taken over the helm of a borough community organisation.

Former vice chair Wendy Johnson has now been voted in as the chair of Church Hill Big Local Partnership, which is helping to improve the district with a £1million Lottery fund. Liz Williams, who runs The Space in nearby Winyates, is the new vice chair.

Wendy said she was ‘delighted’ to have been asked to chair the group and was determined to make the future of Church Hill ‘bright and sustainable’.

She added: “Our first consultations will be around our plans for Bomford Hill, led by our Green Spaces Chair Matt Toomer and ably assisted by development worker Darren Veness and the new leadership team. So if you see a green gazebo anywhere on Church Hill – do pop in and see us.”
