Redditch Club ‘ghost’ goes viral

A VIDEO capturing what is believed to be a ghost inside the Abbeydale Community Club has gone viral on social media reaching nearly 9,000 views.

The short film was posted on Facebook and YouTube by The Ghost Of Redditch group and shows some unusual movements in an empty room with a door opening and furniture moving as if by itself. The footage received 8,600 views in a week and 105 shares.

Clem Dallaway, creator of the site, said: “I originally started the website in around 1999 but the servers went down and I lost everything. I started the new site about 7 years ago and it’s recently took off, I think mainly because of the Facebook page.

“All of the stories are sent in from Redditch residents but I do look for them, I’ve handed out leaflets in shops asking for people to send there stories in.

“I’ve only put a few videos up but the one from Abbeydale just went crazy.

“I think it is quite possible Redditch is the most haunted town in England.”

Anne Bradford, who writes ghost stories and has collected many from Redditch, said: “There are so many ghosts all over the place it is just a matter of having people to see them and write about it.”
