THE deadline for residents to have their say on a proposed major development in Webheath has been extended by Redditch borough council.
The authority says it is aware that there may have been problems with comments being received using the public access system and has extended the consultation period as a result.
The application isfor outline planning permission for up to 80 new homes on land off Church Road in Webheath.
Residents wishing to comment are being asked to double check the website to see if their comments have been submitted and if not, to resubmit them.
Residents who wish to make comments are now being asked to submit them by Friday, July 8.
The planning application number for this potential development is 2016/131/OUT.
Head of planning Ruth Bamford said: “As with all planning applications the council has to consider any comments received up until a decision is made on the application.
“However we want to ensure that we understand all of the matters that residents want to bring to the council’s attention before a recommendation is drafted by officers.
“As with every development we will continue to provide as much information as possible as part of this process including, in due course the future date of the Planning Committee meeting when the application will be considered.”
A committee date has yet to be set to consider this application.
Residents who wish to view the application documents and comment online can do so via the Public Access website available through www.redditchbc.gov.uk.
For those without internet access, a full paper set of the application documents are available for inspection at Redditch Town Hall during normal opening hours.
