IT WAS an extravaganza of tea and cake as a Redditch woman held her popular annual Macmillan coffee morning.
Diane Driscoll, of Vicarage Crescent, invited people to enjoy her sweet treats in aid of the cancer support charity which is dear to her.
The 76-year-old said: “”It’s a charity that is close to my heart. My mom died of cancer and I’ve had dear friends die of it too.
“It propels me forward to raise more money,”
As well as selling an abundance of cakes and biscuits, they also set up a clothes rail and held a raffle to raise even mroe funds for the cause. Diane is hopeful the day raised more than £400.
she gave a heart-felt thanks to everyone who attended the event and to all those who supported her both this year and in years gone by.
“I’d like to thank Marks And Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Bruno the Baker and all my friends who have come today,” she added.
Alongside her yearly coffee morning, Diane also sells jams, marmalade chutneys all year round.
