Redditch Ed saddles up for charity

A REDDITCH man is going against the clock and attempting to cycle from Redditch to Glasgow on a static bike in just 24 hours.

The 600-mile round trip will begin at 6am on Monday (August 1) when Ed Mckay of PureGym Redditch embarks on the challenge in aid of Action Medical Research (AMR).

Ed said: “I wanted to push myself to the limit, so I chose the location of the northen-most PureGym in the UK and made that my target.

“The only time I can leave the bike is if a member of Pure Gym Redditch jumps on to give me a rest, so if anyone wants to sign up, please pop in and ask.”

The personal trainer wants to raise £1,000 for AMR, the leading UK charity who help save the lives of children with rare medical conditions.
