REDDITCH police are desperate for the return of a child’s bicycle stolen from Prospect View flats Clive Road Redditch.

The bike the is last gift her father gave the nine-year-old before he died from cancer.

The cycle was taken between late evening of Tuesday, June 7 and mid morning of the June 8.

The bike is a red Carrera as shown in the picture but minus the front and rear mudguards.

The theft took place while the heartbroken girl’s mother was in hospital and she was being looked after by family and friends.

Because of the circumstances the bike holds enormous sentimental value for the girl.

PC Andy Preeman said: “This is an appeal to anyone who has any knowledge to the location of the bicycle as the family would be extremely grateful for the return of it.

“Obviously the circumstances around it are tragic and we would be grateful for any information that would lead to its return.”

If you know where the bike is or where it might be, contact PC 214 Andy Freeman on 0300 333 3000 ext 3737 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Alternatively call police on 101.
