Redditch Library is currently closed due to a suspected gas leak.
The building near the market square has been completely evacuated and staff are on hand outside to advise service users on the situation.
Library staff say they are currently waiting for an engineer to come and investigate and they will be open as soon as it is safe.
A statement on the library Facebook page said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes. We will let you know when we reopen.”
