A SOUTHCREST man has been arrested in connection with two sexual assaults which took place in the town’s shopping centre.
Mohammed Hanif, 50, from Greenfields, was charged on Thursday, May 28, following reports of one incident in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre on December 27 last year and another on March 9.
In the first case, a 37-year-old woman was shopping in Primark when she was approached by a man.
He made inappropriate comments towards her and asked for her number.
She refused but then he put his arms around her and kissed her on the neck.
In the second incident, a 23-year-old woman was approached by a man who asked for her number.
She refused but then the man grabbed her hand and kissed her on the cheek.
Both women were not physically harmed during the incidents.
Hanif was bailed to appear Redditch Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 30.
