A MAN from Redditch was sentenced this morning (Friday, October 2) to 14 years in prison after being found guilty of grievous bodily harm at Worcester Crown Court.
Lucasz Luszcz, aged 32, from Bromsgrove Road, Redditch, stabbed his victim earlier this year on February 18 at an address in Redditch, following a verbal altercation.
Luszcz was arrested at the scene of the offence and later charged and remanded in custody. The victim, a 27 year-old man, suffered a single stab wound to the chest and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Jordan Baker said: “I am pleased the sentence imposed upon Luszcz reflects the severity of the offence.
“Whilst the victim went on to make a full recovery, the injuries inflicted upon him could have been fatal were it not for the quick responses of the emergency services who attended the scene.”
