A REDDITCH pub will be celebrating with a pint or two after being named one of the best real ale outlets in the country.

The Rising Sun, on Alcester Street, have been awarded a place in the 2017 Good Beer Guide as chosen by a select group of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) members and staff at the pub are delighted.

Deputy manager, Kelsey Oliver said: “We are really pleased to have been given this award. The real ale is always a very popular choice and seems to be appealing more and more to the younger clientele too.

“We always have a wide range of ales on offer every day and we are delighted to be recognised and included in the Good Beer Guide this year.”

CAMRA Membership Secretary Doug Robinson presented the pub with their official certificate on Wednesday (September 14) and he was also happy to encouraging people to enjoy real ale to be responsibly enjoyed in Redditch.

The Good Beer Guide is published annually by the Campaign for Real Ale listing what it considers to be the best cask ale outlets in the UK.
