Redditch students host a party fit for a Queen

A REDDITCH school garden was covered in red white and blue to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on Sunday (June 12).

The youngsters a Beoley First School baked dozens of cakes for the special occasion and were joined by their parents.

The playground was full of bunting, flags and music provided my one of the parents.

The Queen herself even made a special appearance at the party, in cardboard form, and the children were able to their photo taken with the royals having dressed in their best clothes for the event.




Katie Sweeney, deputy head said: “It was a fantastic opportunity for parents and children to celebrate this special event together and the weather was the icing on the cake.”
