REDDITCH is a ‘Turkish delight’ for the Palali brothers Savas, Omer and Teskin who are all businessmen in the town.

Savas runs a coffee shop in the Kingfisher Centre, Teskin is opening a Turkish restaurant in Market Place, while Omer has launched a Turkish barber shop in Evesham Walk following a property deal put together by Redditch property agents John Truslove.

Savas, who has been in Redditch for 14 years, has been advising his brothers.

He said: “I have been in Redditch a long time – I know everyone. So I was happy help my brothers get started.

“It is the first Turkish barber shop in Redditch and the first Turkish restaurant. Redditch is a good place to launch new businesses.”

The 732 sq ft barber shop, taken on a five year lease, offers the full deal including hot towel shaves with an open razor.

John Truslove director Ian Parker said: “We were very pleased to ‘cut’ a deal for Omer.

“The shop is in a prominent position at the junction of Evesham Walk, Unicorn Hill and Market Place so there is plenty of footfall and I am sure it will do well.

“It is creating a lot of interest and is a great addition to the town’s offer.”

The brothers originate from Mersin which is a large city and port on the Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey.
