The 45-year-old said: “I am raising money for the children’s hospital because they helped me 45 years ago when I was a baby I was born with spinda bifida and they did not think I would live but thanks to all the hard work and dedication from the doctors and nurses I did.
“This is my way of of saying thank you for all they have done and I want to show my appreciation by abseiling and raising as much money for them as I can. i really want to thanks all the doctors and nurses for all the support they have given me.”
Mandy will be trying to do as many abseils on the day as possible for the hospital and is hoping to raise more than £430 for the cause. Donations can be made by visiting justgiving.com/Mandy-Leach3
